Field Operator


Ensuring that product is produced according to the DIFOTIS principle to meet customer requirements


The key outputs this role contributes to the business:


  • Achieve production targets
  • Proactively report and act on product spillage and leaks to minimise financial losses
  • Ensure no tank overflows
  • Record lab losses TOC and give explanations on high losses with preventative action to stop the loss


  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with others on plant concerns
  • Proactively build professional relationships within and across teams

Business Processes

  • Ensure plant effectiveness by carrying out critical process checks
  • Report observed anomalies
  • Monitor IA operation and make adjustments to process to eliminate deviations from the norm
  • Do start up checks before starting plant
  • Control plant according to work instructions
  • Act on effluent losses and utility usage on a shift basis
  • Maintain refinery efficiencies within standard


  • Demonstrate understanding of internal and external customer needs, expectations and deliver accordingly


  • Work in a way to ensure compliance with safety, health, environment and community legislation
  • Comply with workplace policies, procedures and work instructions


  • Minimum of two years production experience
  • Three years experiential exposure to a refinery industry
