Internship – Operations & Administration


As an intern in the department, the incumbent will gain experience in practical application of operational functions, gradually increasing level of difficulty and responsibility as the incumbent receives on-the-job training in compliance and operational functions

  • Learn and understand the business goals, objectives, and needs
  • Learn and understand the department and wider business processes and continuous
    improvement initiatives
  • Learn and understand project based and agile working environments
  • Learn and apply project administration / coordination skills
  • Provide administrative and project support to the department as required
  • Perform basic research in support of departmental functions
  • Apply undergraduate / postgraduate learning and skills in the departmental daily functioning
  • Provide administrative project support as requested
  • May perform additional tasks and projects upon request
  • Recently graduated. Qualification in office/operations management/business administration or
    related studies or equivalent. Degree/diploma/certificate (NQF 5/6/ 7)
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Self-starter with proactive approach to tasks
  • Disciplined in completing work assigned by due dates
  • Ability to take feedback maturely and learn from it
  • Resilient and confident in own abilities, while open to learning new skills
  • The ability to prioritise and provide exceptional client service is required.
  • A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects.
