Duties & Responsibilities

You will join a team of administrators in which each member undertakes report writing and other administrative tasks associated with the support of our specialist investigators in the undertaking of their assignments. While drafting and editing reports may be the complex skill at the heart of this position, you will need to apply general administrative skills to a wider range of tasks, as may be required from time to time.

Exceptional drafting and editing to deliver unambigous reports that include wide-ranging terminology is the major responsibility of this role. The ability to edit the writing of others and meticulously proofread own and others work is essential.

Our specialist investigators will prepare draft reports or dictate these, and you will be responsbile for drafting them into coherent and logical documents of a standard that will stand up as sound and logical evidence – even in a court of law.

These may be incident reports, investigation outcomes, witness statements and similar – so an intuitive or informed understanding of what constitutes relevant information and objective evidence is required.

You may need to ask the investigative specialist providing you with content questions in order to elicit information that they have but haven’t yet passed on, in order to create a fully factual and logical picture of a matter.

Your reports will in turn be used by our clients as a basis for further internal investigation and where appropriate for the undertaking of internal disciplinary matters and even by prosecutors in the pursuance of justice. However they are used, your report writing skills will be applied to the establishment of truth and the achievement of justice.

A high level of discretion and the commitment to maintain confidentiality of all information that you have access to in the course of your work with us is of primary importance.

Your language skills

Regardless of your first language, the position calls for an exceptional level of written English.
