Rosebank College: Accounting Lecturer
Introduction
Rosebank College requires an Accounting Lecturer (Independent Contractor) for our Bloemfontein Campus.
The role of the Lecturer is the delivery of training and education of students, student consultations, the establishment of a knowledge base of the discipline through academic research & development; whilst providing overall support to Academic department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities
- Presenting content in a class environment
- Briefing students for assignments and projects
- Marking assessments and providing feedback
- Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies within the Rosebank College environment.
- Developing and implementing intervention programmes for at-risk students
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education
Minimum Qualification/s
- Honours in Accounting or alternatively:
- Honours degree in one of the Business related fields with Accounting or Financial Management with Accounting or Financial Management to third year level.
- Bachelor degree with Accounting or Financial Management to the third year level PLUS either an MBA or postgraduate diploma in business or education.
Experience
Relevant and current industry experience essential. Preference will be given to candidates who have lecturing / teaching experience. The ideal candidate will be able to lecture in a part time capacity, whilst still being involved in the industry.
