Phangami Talent Group (Pty) Ltd: Logistics Specialist


Our Client, based in the South of Johannesburg, is looking for a candidate to be the support contact to their allocated Supply Chain team. They will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day Supply Chain operations and to ensure efficient and effective order management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan shipments based on product availability and customer requests.
  • Track orders to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Prepare shipping documents (like invoices, purchase orders and bills of lading).
  • Coordinate our supply chain procedures to maximize quality of delivery.
  • Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Oversee the levels of our warehouse stock and place orders as needed.
  • Provide information to customers about the status of their orders to ensure maximum satisfaction, and to maintain quality over quantity and further compile a related report on a weekly basis/ monthly basis.
  • Must be able to adhere to and meet with all Customer Service Level agreements.
  • Create and develop performance report, delivery method report and scope of work.
  • Keep abreast with current field practices to enhance service standards and delivery.
  • Evaluate all items ordered by technical team (to reduce unnecessary orders).
  • Complete administration within time frames as per policies.
  • Must be able to identify opportunities on improving work processes and recommend appropriate action or solutions.
  • To assist with various projects as directed by management.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • N6/ National Diploma/ Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience 5in the same or similar role
  • Work experience as a Logistics Administrator, Warehouse Administrator, or similar role
  • Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems.
