LIXIL Africa: Service Technician / Qualified Plumber

Introduction

To ensure that Lixil’s reputation for excellent customer service is maintained and enhanced by dealing diplomatically with “complaint” calls and using discretion in determining the action required, ensuring that the complaint is resolved.

Duties & Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Primary focus is on all products, assisting in customer service, assessing and repairing or replacing defective product.
  • Identifying and reporting product faults and probable causes.
  • Attending site meetings with plumbers who reported service calls, providing solutions as a training session, promoting LIXIL products.
  • Report on competitors’ products and activities, recommending opportunities to improve sales.
  • Deal with customers in a diplomatic manner, overcoming negativity towards LIXIL as a result of alleged product failure, utilizing the situation as a marketing opportunity.
  • Submit a monthly report to the Service Manager.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 Or Equivalent with technical subjects through an accredited educational institution
  • A qualified plumber
  • Must have LIXIL Products knowledge, VAAL/COBRA/GROHE
  • MS Office Suite proficient – Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Project and MS PowerPoint
  • Valid, unendorsed code 8 drivers’ license
