Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure company interest as well as identify and address all end-users (Divisions) requirements at time of contracts discussions.
  • Ensure compliance to all statutory and mandatory requirements during negotiations and standard terms and conditions from Legal
  • Provide input to Legal and assist end users (Divisions) in drawing up binding and enforceable contracts
  • Educate the End-user (Divisions) about procurement policy requirements-More specifically when a contract is required and when a contract is not
  • Analyse submitted Tender Proposals and company technical requirements specifications to determine the type of commercial agreement envisaged
  • Assisting Divisional managers to conclude on deal/commercial transaction agreement reflect and capture the commercial/highlighted risks/price
  • Communicate with the various Divisions
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers/End users (Divisions) with the purpose of closing on most risk aversion contract
  • Educate the Divisional Managers on standard contract, compliance sheet, Policy and Procedures
  • Generate monthly reports in respect of central repository for all contracts, more specifically, in respect of spend and contracts closed or expired-Send out notifications in advance to End-users (Divisions) in respect of expiring contracts
  • Liaise with Divisional Managers and identify areas that are not covered in the contract agreement that should be
  • Implement and maintain a contract register and ensure a critical audit findings on contracts register
  • Establish and maintain contract database for divisions and ensure the respective end user (Divisional Managers) have read access to contracts signed off on the Document Management Systems
  • Create and manage a physical/electronic repository of all purchase contracts
  • Ensure 100% compliance for loading all contracts into the Document management System.
  • Responsible for amending existing contracts and maintaining documents version control with the assistance of Divisional Managers and Legal
  • Ensure that all contract documentation is complete (Including Annexures before contract sign off process)

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • 4-year degree / NQF level 7, B.Sc. in Engineering is preferred
  • 6 years’ experience in similar role as a Contracts Manager
  • Fluent in English
