Introduction

Our client in the mining and construction industry is looking for an experienced HR Officer with a hunger for growth. The HR Officer must be able to speak English and Setswana fluently. The role is based in Kathu.

Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Recruitment and selection
  • HR transactions such has implementing of new contracts, policies, procedures, exits
  • Payroll: processing and preparing hours for payroll, attend to payroll related queries
  • Investigating alleged misconducts and collating evidence
  • Initiating and chairing disciplinary hearings
  • Representation at CCMA/BCCEI
  • Advise and assist employees and site managers on best practices
  • IR relations with unions and shopstewards

Desired Experience

  • Sound Understanding and knowledge of labour legislation
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of representing at the CCMA
  • Must be able to read and speak English and Setswana fluently

Quaifications

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Qualification in Human Resource management
