Futurelink National Staffing: Senior HR and Payroll Officer

Introduction

Our National client is looking for an experienced HR & Payroll Officer for Head Office in Durban.

Suitable candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience managing full-function payroll; with a staff complient larger than 3000.

Understanding and management of HR and Payroll compliance processes is crucial. Sound knowledge of Employment Equity database maintenance and reporting is also required.

Experience working on VIP/HR Premier is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

РEnsuring HR & Payroll compliance processes are managed timeously and in line with legislation.

– Ensuring all documentation and reports are adequate for monthly audit.

– Ensuring all client accounts are managed efficiently and timeously, and that all reconciliations are accurate.

– Payroll compliance on VIP:

  • Ensure salaries are captured and in line with employee contracts, incentives, leave, sick pay, etc.
  • New employee creation and terminations.
  • Variance reports to be collated for sign-off.
  • Exception report recons.
  • Prepare all payrolls for upload by Payroll Manager.
  • Benefits: check recon compliance.
  • General adhoc reporting and admin.

  • Accurate management of database.
  • Report maintenance by Sage.

 

– Staff Management:

  • Meetings with team, monthly KPAs to be set and measured.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric
  • Relevant HR qualificaiton (preferable)
  • VIP Training (essential)
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation
