Head of Marketing: Foschini

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Strategic Marketer to Head up Marketing for the Foschini Division, including Brands: Donna, Soda Bloc, Colette and various other.

This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated, agile individual with strong people management skills. The successful applicant must be comfortable with working in a dynamic, fast paced, everchanging and results-driven environment.

As a Head of Marketing, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Full ownership and accountability for the Foschini Division Marketing Strategy
  • Develop and execute Brand strategy aligned to Business strategy and imperatives
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the Foschini management team, to effectively execute and support the Business Strategy
  • Ensure successful execution of marketing and VM strategy in store and online in collaboration with other stakeholders
  • Drive Omni-channel vision within the Division giving customers consistent engagement/experience across all channels
  • Lead and manage marketing and visual instore for optimal excellence in customer experience
  • Develop key strategic partnerships aligned to the Foschini customer profile
  • Provide Market Intelligence
  • Develop and ensure execution of  Brand social media and digital strategy
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive Product Communications strategy
  • Champion improvement of internal communication, particularly to stores
  • Campaign Management & Measurement
  • Reputation Management
  • Ensure that assigned team is effectively resourced, directed, motivated and developed to enable team members to reach their full potential
  • Drive and develop the performance of the team to achieve objectives and effectively manage performance issues or concerns
  • Contribute to the delivery of an enhanced Strategic Marketing competence within TFG
  • Be actively involved in relevant Group projects


  • Passionate about uplifting and empowering All Woman
  • Minimum 8 years working experience at a senior management level, incl. Marketing and Digital Strategy/ Team management/ Stakeholder/Supplier management
  • Ability to drive change, persuade and influence both internal and external stakeholders (without direct authority)
  • Demonstrate a high level of maturity, emotional intelligence and insight into diverse teams
  • Ability to work comfortably at both a strategic and operational levels
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deliver to aggressive deadlines, incl. problem solving
  • High levels of Agility to flex and adapt to changing business requirements
