Introduction

A position has become available for a Process Engineer (Bodyshop) to join our dynamic team.

ROLE SUMMARY

Maintain All Process Activities Within The Bodyshop Environment, Pertaining To Vehicle Quality, Dimensional Integrity And Implementing (Implemented) Processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and Create Model Area related Process Sheets in GSPAS.
  • Responsible for Engineering Changes of related processes.
  • Maintain Model area related Control plan of Processes.
  • Responsible for Process Capability of related processes. (Cp & CpK incl. SPC charts)
  • Ability to read and analyze WBDM data while making concise decisions based on data.
  • Responsible for Process Equipment of related processes & area.
  • Maintain Process Audits of processes.
  • Responsible for Facility planning of related processes & area for changes.
  • Responsible for Project management of related equipment and facilities for major changes.
  • PFMEA update implementation.
  • VRT participation.
  • FCPA participation.
  • Process confirmation and validation confirmation.
  • Responsible for Process Technicians on your shift.
  • Maintain ISO 9000 / ISO 14000 standards.
  • EQN processing within 5 days.
  • VUV processing within 5 days.
  • Leading MTC process for Body Construction.
  • Support NWG’s of area.
  • Support SQDCPME objectives.
  • Improve Part delivery quality from the supplier based on control points needed from production side to be controlled by the supplier.
  • Ensure fixture integrity is 100% to standard.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES / SUCCESS CRITERIA

  • Achieve 100% Cp and Cpk targets In Respective Area.
  • Ensure 100% Fixture/Sealer Integrity Green Status.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • National Diploma / Degree – Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 years experience Automotive Industry
  • 3 years experience Process Engineering for Bodyshop
  • Six Sigma experience
  • Resistive Spot Welding experience (advantageous)
  • Vehicle Quality, Dimensional Integrity and Implementing (Implemented) Processes knowledge/experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

  • Read Engineering Drawings.
  • Interpret Technical Dimensional Drawings And Make Concise Decisions To Facilitate Improvement.
