Internship: Energy Industry (Two positons)

(Twelve-month contract)

About the job:

The CSIR has an Internships opportunities for Interns in the Energy Centre within the Smart Places cluster. The purpose of the Internship is to provide an opportunity to gain practical work experience through providing technical support to Energy Economists working in the field of the Just Energy Transition, including data gathering/ capture, analysis, presentation and reporting. Assistance with organising and running workshops with stakeholders will also be required. These positions are based in Pretoria.

Key responsibilities:

  • Gather data and capture on spreadsheets and databases;
  • Analyse data, presentations and reports;
  • Perform literature reviews and summarize findings;
  • Coordinate workshops and keep record of stakeholder attendance confirmation, venue, costs associated with the event.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A BCom degree in economics or econometrics;
  • An Honour’s degree will be advantageous;
  • Highly literate and numerate, with good spreadsheet, database, presentation and reporting skills;
  • Applicants must be South African citizens.
