Job Summary Statement	Manage, Control and co-ordinate all employees and machines within his/her area of responsibility. To oversee the Production process to ensure the alignment to business needs and strategy.
Minimum Requirements	ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have a matric. EXPERIENCE: • 5 Years working experience as a tube mill operator. • Manufacture tube to SANS specifications. • Numerical competency
Duties & Responsibilities	KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES): • Meet pre-determined / agreed Quality and Production and personnel. • Carry out regular inspections on the material and finished products to ensure that production is in line with specifications • Check mill plan to arrange for possible mill changes and ensure that the necessary preparation is done for such changes • Complete a detailed production report for operators reporting for the next shift • Ensure compliance to safety and quality policies and standards • Ensure that all company housekeeping standards and procedures are adhered to • Ensure that all tasks are completed in line with standard operating procedures • Inspect welding to ensure that quality standards are adhered to • Keep record of all stoppages or breakdowns • Actively participate in Continues Improvement program. • Take responsibility for Tube Mill production and personnel • Ensure daily Production target is achieved • Responsible for minor maintenance work and mill changes
Knowledge Skills & Abilities	KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Excellent Steel knowledge essential. • Must have knowledge of OHS Act and quality requirements. • Must be prepared to work shifts and overtime. • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. • Must be able to use measuring equipment (vernier, micrometre etc) • Tube maker theory • Industrial relations procedure
