Work Description
The Research Nurse performs clinical procedures and administers processes essential to continually improving standards of patient care according to professional protocol.

Technical Work Responsibilities
•Provide Clinical tasks
•Research-related tasks
•Administrative duties
•Liaison with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
•Human Capital Supervision
•Compile clinical data and enter it into a database
•Review and assess data collected
•Collaborate with investigators and statistical consultants
•Screen and recruit subjects for clinical studies

Requirements
Education
•Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
•Registration with South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse
•Advanced diploma in Primary Health Care
•HIV/AIDS certificate
•Couple Counselling Certificate
•Valid GCP certificate
•Dispensing License
Experience
•At least 3 years’ experience in PHC, HIV/Aids, TB, PMTCT and STI
•6 months’ experience in a managerial position
•2 months’ experience in MS Office package
•Experience in Contraceptive counselling
•Experience in STI syndrome management
Requirements
•Own car
•Valid Driver’s license
Skills and Competencies
•Knowledge of Legislation
•Ability to work under pressure
•Provider initiated counselling
•Good phlebotomy and pelvic examination skills
•Study protocol
•Research methodology
•Intermediate computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics etc.
