We are focused on research, support and implementing integrated approaches to managing TB and HIV.

Job Functions Nursing

•Liaise with all Internal Customers and External Customers when necessary towards the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
•Adhere and maintain Decision making authority as allocated to the position
•Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
•Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislation
•Report all unsafe activities to Line manager/Human Resources

•Provide preventive and curative care to all patients referred to him/her by the team

•Verify and validate data before the data is sent to the next level
•Confirm HCT discordant results
•Conduct Provider-initiated counselling and testing (PICT)
•Receive and interpreted results
•Compiling weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
•Conduct home visits
•Drive Company Vehicle for the purposes of conducting study related procedures
•Maintain Basic Life Support Certification
•Ensure procurement, stock control and disposal of clinical supplies in compliance with regulatory standards
•Maintain clinic inventory for all clinic equipment.
• Specimen collection for clinical investigation.
•Assessing the results and refer participant for further treatment where necessary

•Referral of participants for further investigations and treatment .
•Perform physical exams and vital signs
•Other duties within scope, as allocated by supervisor

Qualification / Professional Membership

•Diploma in Nursing Science and/or Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University
•PHC trained (preferred)
•Registration with South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse

•Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
•2 years’ experience in HIV/AIDS, STI and TB related work
•2 years’ experience in primary data collection in the clinical or public Health field

•Basic personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics etc.
•Valid SADC Motor Vehicle Driving Licence with > 12 months driving experience
•Own Motor Vehicle
•Good interpersonal skills
•Counselling skills

NB: Non – South African citizens must have a valid work-permit
